On 25 July SERNAGEOMIN reported that moderate explosion occurred at 18:07 local time associated with volcano-tectonic earthquake.
Fresh ash deposits are visible generated by explosion.

Sernageomin has raised the alert level to Orange for the first time since 2015 due to escalating seismic tremor and a more turbulent lava lake (present in some form since late 2014).
