The activity of the volcano continues at moderate levels characterized by sporadic explosions.
On 23 October at 10:41 local time the volcano observatory SERNAGEOMIN recorded an another moderate explosion from the active crater associated with long-period (LP) earthquake. An ash plume rose 590 ft (180 m) above the summit and drifted east.
Fresh ash deposits on the snow cover are visible in the image.
