Villarrica volcano (Central Chile): activity remains stable

The small lava pond in the summit crater, first observed in Nov last year, has remained essentially unchanged.
Its currently stable condition suggests that there is a delicate equilibrium between heat and magma supply and loss (through cooling and mild emissions during degassing).
