Aso (central Kyushu, Japan): (17 Mar) The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) reported that explosive activity from the active crater with near-constant grey-white plumes rose 196 ft (60 m) above the summit crater.
Sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions reached to a 1,700 tonnes/day.

Sakurajima (Kyushu, Japan): (17 Mar) The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) reported that occasional minor ash explosions occured at the Minamidake summit crater.
The seismic station records 50 volcanic earthquakes and 52 tremors associated with the eruptions during the period 13-16 Mar 2020. Incandescence continues to be observed from the crater.

Popocatépetl (Central Mexico): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Washington warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 20000 ft (6100 m) altitude or flight level 200 .

CENAPRED recorded two explosions, one minor at 18:02 local time yesterday and one moderate at 02:20 local time today which rose approx. 3,280 ft ft (1,000 m) above the crater and drifted NE.
Additionally recorded 467 minutes of tremor and 177 emissions of water vapor, gases and light ash content.

Reykjanes (Reykjanes peninsula (SW Iceland)): The Icelandic Met Office (IMO) recorded an earthquake with magnitude M 5.2 occurred about 5 km NE of Grindavík. Multiple aftershocks have been detected. The earthquake is the largest earthquake detected on the Reykjanes peninsula since October 2013 when an earthquake of magnitude M 5.2 occurred close to Reykjanestá.
