Kuchinoerabu-jima (Ryukyu Islands): (8 Apr) Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Tokyo (VAAC) issued the following report: ERUPTED AT 20200408/0806Z FL030 EXTD S OBS VA DTG:08/0800Z

Mayon (Luzon Island, Philippines): (8 Apr) PHIVOLCS reported that the seismic station records 2 volcano-tectonic earthquakes during the last 24 hours.
Emissions of gas and steam plumes occurred. The plumes were dispersed towards the NE, N-NW, W and SW direction.

Dukono (Halmahera): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 10000 ft (3000 m) altitude or flight level 100 and is moving at 10 kts in SE direction.

Popocatépetl (Central Mexico): (8 Apr) Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Washington warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 19000 ft (5800 m) altitude or flight level 190 .

Santiaguito (Guatemala): (8 Apr) INSIVUMEH recorded a white fumarole in Caliente dome that rose 9,842 ft (3,000 m) above the summit.
The seismic station detected weak explosions that generated a dark ash plume which reached approx. 10,500 ft (3,200 m) above the summit and drifted SW.

INSIVUMEH recorded 6-9 weak to moderate strombolian-type explosions per hour that generated a grey ash plume which reached approx. 14,764 ft-15,420 ft (4,500 m-4,700 m) altitude. The plumes drifted towards the southwest direction.
Ashfall was reported in several areas downwind including Santa Sofía (12 km SW), Morelia (9 km SW), Panimaché I and II (8 km SW), Finca Palo Verde, San Pedro Yepocapa (8 km NW), Sangre de Cristo (8 km WSW), and El Porvenir (8 km ENE).
