Klyuchevskoy (Kamchatka): Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Tokyo (VAAC) issued the following report: ERUPTION AT 20200429/2025Z FL200 EXTD S REPORTED OBS VA DTG:29/2020Z
...29 Apr:
The explosive-effusive eruption of the volcano continues at moderate intensity. Strombolian and sometimes Vulcanian explosions are being observed.
The lava flow continues to be active on the southeastern flank of the volcano (the Apakhonchich chute). Interaction with snow and ice causes phreatic explosions at the contact with lava. Avalanches of loose lava blocks accompany this process.

Ebeko (Paramushir Island): The activity of the volcano continues with intermittent small to moderately sized explosions and ash emissions.
A relatively large explosion occurred this morning and was observed from Severo-Kurilsk town by our friend and correspondent Leonid Kotenko from the local volcano observatory. It was a typical vulcanian-type eruption that produced an ash plume that rose to approx. 2 km height above the volcano and drifted slowly to the SE.
VAAC Tokyo also reported the eruption, estimating the altitude reached by the plume as 12,000 ft (3.6 km).

Aso (central Kyushu, Japan): Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Tokyo (VAAC) issued the following report: ACTIVITY CONT. VA AT 20200429/1200Z FL060 STNR OBS VA DTG:29/1150Z

Kikai (Ryukyu Islands): (29 Apr) The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) recorded the volcano's first eruption during the past five months, after its last eruption in November 2019.
On 28 April at 21:10 local time an explosion generated an ash plume, which reached approx. 6,000 ft (1,828 m) altitude.
