Suwanose-jima (Ryukyu Islands): (1 May) Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Tokyo (VAAC) issued the following report: EXPLODED AT 20200501/0608Z FL060 STNR OBS VA DTG:01/0600Z

Bagana (Bougainville Island, Papua New Guinea): Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin recorded new emissions of ash during the past two months, when the volcano erupted on 29 February 2020. Ash plumes reached 10,000 ft (3,000 m) altitude. Volcanic ash is dispersed towards the northwest.

Dukono (Halmahera): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 7000 ft (2100 m) altitude or flight level 070 .

Yasur (Tanna Island, Vanuatu): (1 May) Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Wellington warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 6000 ft (1800 m) altitude or flight level 060 .

Mauna Loa (Big Island, Hawai'i): During the past week the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory (HVO) recorded 62 small-magnitude earthquakes on the volcano's summit and upper-elevation flanks. Most of these earthquakes occurred at shallow depths of less than 8 kilometers (~5 miles) below ground level.
Slow summit inflation continues to be detected by the GPS, consistent with magma supply to the volcano's shallow storage system.

CENAPRED recorded an explosion that generated a dense dark ash plume, which reached approx. 20,000 ft (6,100 m) altitude. Volcanic ash is dispersed towards the southeast and causes ash fall onto the volcano's slopes.
