Etna (Sicily, Italy): (4 May) The activity of the volcano continues with little changes, characterized by mild to strong strombolian activity from both the New SE crater's main vent and the new intra-crater cone in the Voragine central crater.
The latter has been intermittent, but often producing relatively strong explosions, with incandescent bombs thrown to several hundred meters height and landing on the outer slopes of the central crater.
In contrast, strombolian activity at the New SE crater has been mostly mild only, but fluctuated a lot in frequency of explosions. During the night 2-3 May, they seemed to have been near-continuous, but as of today, are occurring again more intermittently. Tremor has not shown significant variations.

Shiveluch (Kamchatka): Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Tokyo (VAAC) issued the following report: VA IS NOT IDENTIFIABLE IN SATELLITE IMAGERY.

Ebeko (Paramushir Island): (4 May) Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Tokyo (VAAC) issued the following report: ERUPTION AT 20200504/0244Z FL080 EXTD SE REPORTED OBS VA DTG:04/0240Z

Aso (central Kyushu, Japan): Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Tokyo (VAAC) issued the following report: ACTIVITY CONT. VA AT 20200504/1800Z FL060 EXTD SE OBS VA DTG:04/1740Z

Canlaon (Central Philippines): PHIVOLCS reported that emissions of gas and white steam plumes occurred. The plume rose 984 ft (300 m) above the summit and drifted northwest.
On 17 April sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions reached to a 86 tonnes/day.

Ibu (Halmahera, Indonesia): Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin and PVMBG recorded on 4 May at 09:10 local time grey ash plume that reached 7,000 ft (2,100 m) altitude. The plumes were dispersed towards the east direction.
Additionally recorded 211 volcano-tectonic earthquakes.

Merapi (Central Java, Indonesia): After a phase of relative calm since mid April, another explosion occurred at the volcano earlier today, at around noon local time
Our correspondent Andi observed the explosion which produced an ash column that rose approx. 2 km above the summit crater of the volcano, where a new lava dome has been growing slowly for almost the past two years.

Semeru (East Java, Indonesia): (3 May) Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 14000 ft (4300 m) altitude or flight level 140 .
The full report is as follows: VA TO FL140 MOV E OBS VA DTG:03/2335Z to 14000 ft (4300 m)

Dukono (Halmahera): Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Darwin (VAAC) issued the following report: CONTINUOUS VA EMISSION TO FL070 EST VA DTG:04/1030Z

Ruapehu (North Island): (4 May) GeoNet reported that during February-April, Crater Lake (Te Wai ā-moe) heated slowly to a peak temperature of 42ºC. Due to a heating-cooling cycle, there is a period of slow change before a cooling trend is clearly shown in the data. That trend is now confirmed with current temperatures close to 35ºC, with further slow cooling expected. Colour temperature is grey with a few surface slicks and no obvious upwelling. At that time the water level had dropped to about 30 cm below overflow but following this weekend’s rain the lake is again overflowing into the upper Whangaehu River.
The volcanic tremor intensity is weak, as it has been during the past month. After a peak of moderate strength in early March, the tremor declined slowly, almost in parallel to the lake’s cooling trend.
