Kuchinoerabu-jima (Ryukyu Islands): Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Tokyo (VAAC) issued the following report: ERUPTED AT 20200505/1450Z FL040 EXTD NE OBS VA DTG:05/1440Z

Soputan (North Sulawesi, Indonesia): (5 May) Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin recorded on 2 May at 00:07 local time new emissions of steam and ash that rose 1,148 ft (350 m) above the summit.
PVMBG recorded 51 volcano-tectonic earthquakes.
The warning bulletin states that ballistic impacts of volcanic bombs, pyroclastic flows and lava flows could affect an area of about 1.5 km distance from the main crater and 2.5 km zone away on the SW side.

Semeru (East Java, Indonesia): (5 May) Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 14000 ft (4300 m) altitude or flight level 140 .

Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Washington recorded explosive activity from the active crater with near-constant ash emissions that reached 20,000 ft (6,100 m) altitude. Volcanic ash is dispersed towards the southwest and causes ash fall on the volcano's slopes.
Lava flows continue to be active on the south-eastern slopes of the volcano.

Sabancaya (Peru): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Buenos Aires warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 26000 ft (7900 m) altitude or flight level 260 .

The Instituto Geofísico del Perú (IGP) recorded during the period 27 Apr-3 May 2020 298 volcano-tectonic earthquakes associated with magma rising, 9 explosions at regular intervals per day. The seismic station recorded on 28 April and 2 May volcano-tectonic earthquakes with magnitude M 3.4 and M 3.5 at 12 km depth beneath the southern and northeastern flank.
An explosions at the volcano generated an ash plumes, which rose approx. 8,202 ft (2,500 m) above the summit and drifted SE, S, SW and NW.
