Karymsky (Kamchatka): (11 May) Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Tokyo warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 18000 ft (5500 m) altitude or flight level 180 and is moving at 35 kts in E direction.

Sakurajima (Kyushu, Japan): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Tokyo warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 9000 ft (2700 m) altitude or flight level 090 and is moving at 15 kts in NE direction.

The activity of the volcano continues at high levels associated with strong eruptions during the past days.
On 8 May at 07:04 local time a powerful explosion occurred from its crater. A dense dark ash plume rose 6,561 ft (2,000 m) above the summit.

Dukono (Halmahera): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 7000 ft (2100 m) altitude or flight level 070 .

Mauna Loa (Big Island, Hawai'i): (11 May) During the past week the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory (HVO) recorded 74 small-magnitude earthquakes on the volcano's summit and upper-elevation flanks. Most of these earthquakes occurred at shallow depths of less than 8 kilometers (~5 miles) below ground level.
Slow summit inflation continues to be detected by the GPS, consistent with magma supply to the volcano's shallow storage system.

Santiaguito (Guatemala): (11 May) INSIVUMEH recorded a white fumarole in Caliente dome that rose 9,842 ft (3,000 m) above the summit.
Surveillance cameras observed weak explosions that generated a dark ash plume which reached approx. 11,483 ft (3,500 m) above the summit and drifted SW.

Fuego (Guatemala): (11 May) INSIVUMEH observed that the lava flow in Barrancas Cenizas direction has increased in length, currently about 400 m long.
Additionally recorded weak to moderate strombolian-type explosions at regular intervals of 6 to 8 per hour that generated a grey ash plume which reached approx. 14,763 ft-15,420 ft (4,500 m-4,700 m) altitude. The plumes drifted towards the south and southwest direction.
