Ibu (Halmahera, Indonesia): On 17 May Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin recorded and ash plume that reached 14,000 ft (4,300 m) altitude and drifted west.
There is a 2 km exclusion zone around the main crater in place and 3,5 km zone away on the N side.
Semeru (East Java, Indonesia): (18 May) On 16 May Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin recorded an explosion that generated a dark ash plume, which reached approx. 46,000 ft (14,000 m) altitude. Volcanic ash is dispersed towards the east and causes ash fall on the volcano's slopes.
Lava flows on the southeast flank remain active, currently about 4,921 ft (1,500 m) long.
