Etna (Sicily, Italy): (20 May) On 19 May at 12:12 local time INGVvulcani recorded strombolian explosions from the New Southeast Crater, which quickly become stronger and generated a dense dark ash plume. The plumes were dispersed towards the northeast direction.
At 11:20 local time an increase of volcanic tremor has been recorded which was located beneath the New SE Crater at approx. 2,900 m altitude.

The explosive-effusive eruption of the volcano continues. A little bit weaker, but near-constant strombolian and sometimes Vulcanian explosions continue to be observed. On 19 May at 21:40 local time explosions are being observed at the summit crater that reached 18,000 ft (5,486 m) altitude.
Gas-steam plume containing some amount of ash is extending about 20 km to the south-southwest of the volcano.

Ebeko (Paramushir Island): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Tokyo warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 10000 ft (3000 m) altitude or flight level 100 and is moving at 15 kts in S direction.

Sakurajima (Kyushu, Japan): During the past two weeks the activity of the volcano is associated with relatively strong eruptions. Another powerful explosion occurred today at 22:45 local time that generated a dense dark ash plume, which reached approx. 13,000 ft (4,000 m) altitude and drifted E. Incandescent material is ejected above the crater and caused avalanches of material.
The warning bulletin states that ballistic impacts of volcanic bombs and pyroclastic flows could affect an area of about 2 km distance from the main crater.

Dukono (Halmahera): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 6000 ft (1800 m) altitude or flight level 060 and is moving at 15 kts in W direction.

Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Buenos Aires recorded explosive activity from the active crater with near-constant ash emissions that reached 24,000 ft (7,300 m) altitude and drifted E.
The Instituto Geofísico del Perú (IGP) recorded during 11-17 May 2020 413 volcano-tectonic earthquakes associated with magma rising. Additionally recorded 12 explosions at regular intervals per day.
