Etna (Sicily, Italy): (22 May) INGV recorded explosions due to ongoing strombolian activity from the summit craters.
Today at 06:05 local time an eruption at New Southeast Crater generated an ash plume, which reached approx. 14,700 ft (4,500 m) altitude and drifted SW.

Constant glow is visible from the summit crater.

Dukono (Halmahera): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 7000 ft (2100 m) altitude or flight level 070 .

Popocatépetl (Central Mexico): (22 May) The activity at the volcano remains high. An explosion occurred at 03:02 local time tonight, showering the summit cone with glowing lava bombs. An ash plume rose approx. 1,640 ft (500 m) above the summit and drifted south-southeast (VAAC Washington).
CENAPRED recorded 106 emissions of gas and steam plumes with minor ash content.
