Etna (Sicily, Italy): INGV reported that the seismic station records decreasing tremor (8 July at 22:00 local time) associated with mild strombolian explosions (11 July) from the "saddle vent" located between the old and new cones of the Southeast Crater.
The tremor were located at depths between 300 and 400 m beneath New Southeast Crater.

Popocatépetl (Central Mexico): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Washington warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 22000 ft (6700 m) altitude or flight level 220 .
