Etna (Sicily, Italy): Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Toulouse (VAAC) issued the following report: ERUPTION AT 20200820/1520Z EXPLOSIVE ACTIVITY HAS INCREASED

Nishino-shima (Volcano Islands, Japan): (20 Aug) Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Tokyo warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 5000 ft (1500 m) altitude or flight level 050 and is moving at 5 kts in N direction.

Suwanose-jima (Ryukyu Islands): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Tokyo warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 6000 ft (1800 m) altitude or flight level 060 and is moving at 5 kts in N direction.

Manam (Papua New Guinea): Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Darwin (VAAC) issued the following report: VA REPORTED TO FL070 MOV W AT 20/0150Z OBS VA DTG:20/1330Z

Explosive eruption of the volcano continues during the past two weeks.
On 15 and 20 August Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin recorded two explosions at the volcano that generated an ash plumes, which reached approx. 14,000 ft (4,300 m) and 7,000 ft (2,100 m) altitude and drifted W-SW.
A satellite image from 17 August shows that incandescence continues to be observed from the crater.

Sinabung (Sumatra, Indonesia): (20 Aug) The activity of the volcano has remained essentially unchanged at high levels.
Explosive activity continues from the active crater with near-constant ash emissions that rose 8,929 ft (2,721 m) above the summit and drifted into north direction. The strong explosion occurred at 07:59 local time yesterday.

Sabancaya (Peru): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Buenos Aires warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 23000 ft (7000 m) altitude or flight level 230 .

Copahue (Chile/Argentina): (20 Aug) According to SERNAGEOMIN seismicity of the volcano remains unstable during the past weeks.
Near-constant grey-white emissions of gas continue from the active crater that rose 500 m above the summit.
