Stromboli (Eolian Islands, Italy): (4 Sep) On 2 September INGV reported that strombolian activity continues associated with scoria ejected on the north flank of Sciara del Fuoco.
Ash emissions reach up to 5,334 ft (1,626 m) altitude.

Katla (Southern Iceland): (4 Sep) The Icelandic Met Office (IMO) recorded an earthquake with magnitude M 3.1 that occurred at 12:39 local time yesterday located in the northeastern part of the Katla caldera near Austmannsbunga.
Few smaller aftershocks were detected but no volcanic tremor has been recorded.

Sakurajima (Kyushu, Japan): (4 Sep) Explosive eruption of the volcano continues at moderate levels.
One smaller and one moderate explosion occurred at 05:10 and 12:27 local time today. An ash plumes reached 8,000 ft (2,438 m) and 9,000 ft (2,743 m) altitude and drifted NE and NW, respectively.

Dukono (Halmahera): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 7000 ft (2100 m) altitude or flight level 070 and is moving at 10 kts in W direction.

Cleveland (Aleutian Islands, Alaska): (4 Sep) The Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO) reported that a sustained pause in volcanic unrest at Cleveland Volcano over the last few months has prompted to downgrade the Aviation Color Code and Volcano Alert Level from YELLOW/ADVISORY to UNASSIGNED/UNASSIGNED.
The last eruptive activity at Cleveland Volcano was a short-lived explosion on the evening (local time) of June 1, 2020. Since then, there has been no evidence from satellite observations of elevated surface temperatures, and there have been no observed changes in the summit crater.
