Kadovar (Northeast of New Guinea): (5 Jan) Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 6000 ft (1800 m) altitude or flight level 060 and is moving at 05 kts in NW direction.

A series of eruptions occurred from the volcano over the past few days.
During 3-5 January the explosions generated an ash plumes that rose to estimated 10,000 ft-12,000 ft (3,000 m-3,600 m) altitude and drifted W-SW direction. Visibility of the explosions are limited due to dense clouds.

Soufrière St. Vincent (West Indies, St. Vincent): The effusive eruption of the volcano continues and has remained essentially unchanged since the last update.
The University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre (UWI-SRC) led by geologist prof. Richard Robertson in collaboration with National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) reported that the new extruded lava dome remains active on the edge of the old lava dome from 1979 and still growing in size.
