Volcanic activity worldwide 12 Feb 2021: Fuego volcano, Klyuchevskoy, Popocatépetl, Dukono, Kilauea...

Klyuchevskoy (Kamchatka): KVERT reported that the effusive-explosive phase of the volcano, that started in October, stopped.
The lava flow on the south-southwest flank is now no longer active at the time of this update as well as strombolian activity from the summit vent.

Raung (East Java): (11 Feb) Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Darwin (VAAC) issued the following report: CONTINUOUS VA EMISSIONS TO FL180 EST VA DTG:11/2312Z

Dukono (Halmahera): (12 Feb) Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 6000 ft (1800 m) altitude or flight level 060 and is moving at 05 kts in E direction.

Kilauea (Hawai'i): The effusive eruption of the volcano continues and has remained essentially unchanged.
The western fissure continues to supply the lava into the growing Halema‘uma‘u lava lake.

The active western portion of the lava lake has hot incandescent lava (as can be seen in attached image) visible at boundaries between plates on the lava lake. The inactive eastern portion of the lake appears dark.


Popocatépetl (Central Mexico): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Washington warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 18500 ft (5600 m) altitude or flight level 185 .

Sabancaya (Peru): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Buenos Aires warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 25000 ft (7600 m) altitude or flight level 250 and is moving at 05 kts in W direction.

Soufrière St. Vincent (West Indies, St. Vincent): No significant change in the activity of the volcano has occurred since the last update and has remained essentially unchanged at effusive phase.
A satellite image from 5 February shows clear picture of the actively growing lava dome in the crater. The new dome continues to grow with lateral spreading of ~15 m towards the north-west and south-east, currently about 540 m long.

Gas-and-steam plumes continue to rise from the top of the dome as well as along the contact of the 1979 dome and the new dome.
Daily observations confirmed a continuous fire in the NW area of the crater that affected vegetation on vertical slope of the crater.
