Etna (Sicily, Italy): Another spectacular fire-fountaining episode or paroxysm occurred at the New SE crater during the last night, marking it the 42th such event in 2021 so far.
It came after a significantly longer interval of 4 and a half days since the preceding event on Sunday, but its evolution followed the same pattern observed during nearly all paroxysms this year:

Fagradalsfjall (Reykjanes Peninsula, Iceland): Although activity might seem to have been less vigorous during much of the past week compared to earlier stages, the eruption continues. Lava effusion rate has been at least stable if not following an overall slowly increasing trend, as last week's published data from the Icelandic Meteorological Office shows (see previous post).
After a few days with little visibility of the volcano, clouds cleared yesterday and showed that significant amounts of new lava had been erupted into the growing shield around the main vent, which in turn now seems smaller.

Taal (Luzon, Philippines): (2 Jul) A new short-lived phreatomagmatic explosion occurred from the Taal Main Crater at 15:16 local time today as reported local observatory PHIVOLCS in their latest bulletin.
The 5 minutes lasted explosion generated dark pyroclastic material, leading fragments arcing upwards along parabolic paths so-called cock's tail, up to 4,300 ft (1,300 m) altitude. Presence of water is likely causing significant explosive interaction (phreatomagmatic activity) of water and magma.
