Karymsky (Kamchatka): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Tokyo warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 9000 ft (2700 m) altitude or flight level 090 .
The full report is as follows: VA AT 20210716/1240Z FL090 EXTD S OBS VA DTG:16/1240Z to 9000 ft (2700 m)

Suwanose-jima (Ryukyu Islands): Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Tokyo (VAAC) issued the following report: ERUPTED AT 20210716/1403Z FL120 EXTD W OBS VA DTG:16/1400Z

Sinabung (Sumatra, Indonesia): (16 Jul) The eruptive activity of the volcano continues.
The volcano observatory detected vulcanian explosion from its crater on 13 July. An ash plume rose 1,600 ft (500 m) above the summit and drifted east-southeast. It also produced pyroclastic flows (gravity-driven mass flows) that traveled over the upper slopes caused by eruption column collapse as denser pyroclastic material imparted by the gas thrust runs out, it can only collapse downwards under gravity.

Dukono (Halmahera): (15 Jul) Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Darwin (VAAC) issued the following report: CONTINUOUS VA TO FL080, LAST PARTIAL OBS EXT W AT 15/2220Z

Ruapehu (North Island): (16 Jul) Typically, over periods of months, Ruapehu's crater lake (Te Wai ā-moe) experiences heating and cooling cycles. In late December 2020 the lake heated to around 43°C marking the high point of the previous cycle. Early 2021 the lake cooled through to February 2021, before starting to heat again in early March. A maximum of 41°C was reached on 12 April 2021. The lake then started to cool down to 20°C on 2 July. The lake temperature started to rise again last week and is currently 23°C.
While the lake was cooling (April-July) the modelled heat input into the lake was around 80-100 MW (megawatt). To heat the lake water temperature by 3°C modelling indicates that ~300-600 MW (megawatt) of heat is now entering the lake.
