Sirung (Pantar Island, Indonesia ): (22 Jul) The local observatory PVMBG reported that a phreatic or hydrothermal eruption occurred at the volcano today.
The new eruption started at Sirung volcano at 16:44 local time as a white-grayish gas and ash plume rose approx. 6,600 ft (2,000 m) above the summit crater and drifted north.
