Karymsky (Kamchatka): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Tokyo warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 9000 ft (2700 m) altitude or flight level 090 and is moving at 10 kts in S direction.
The full report is as follows: VA AT 20210808/1630Z FL090 EXTD S OBS VA DTG:08/1630Z to 9000 ft (2700 m)

Shiveluch (Kamchatka): (8 Aug) Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Tokyo (VAAC) issued the following report: VA IS NOT IDENTIFIABLE IN SATELLITE IMAGERY.

Chirinkotan (Northern Kuriles, Russia): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Tokyo warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 9000 ft (2700 m) altitude or flight level 090 and is moving at 15 kts in S direction.
The full report is as follows: VA EMISSIONS CONTINUING OBS VA DTG:08/1720Z to 9000 ft (2700 m)

Suwanose-jima (Ryukyu Islands): The activity of the volcano continues at moderately high levels. Moderate-to-strong vulcanian explosions are now in progress at the volcano's On-take (Otake) NE summit crater.

The volcano sent up a pyroclastic material approx. 5,577 ft (1,700 m) above the crater. Volcanic ash is dispersed into various directions, but most often W.

Lewotolo (Lesser Sunda Islands): The explosive eruption of the volcano continues.
The ongoing occasional strombolian activity at the summit crater has been mostly mild only during the past few days. Grey ash plumes rose 2,300 ft-3,300 ft (700 m-1,000 m) above the summit and drifted north and west respectively.

Merapi (Central Java, Indonesia): The actively growing lava dome continues to collapse at elevated levels. A visible glow and near-constant emissions of gas and small amounts of ash suggest continued rise of fresh magma accumulating into the lava dome in the inner summit crater.
The local observatory PVMBG reported that large hot rock falls occurred today at 04:58 local time as more and more unstable hot lava material has continued to collapse and turned into very dangerous pyroclastic flows. Block-and-ash flows traveled over the southwestern slopes reaching length of at least 3000 m. Ash plumes, separated from pyroclastic density currents, generated so-called phoenix clouds which rose 3,300 ft (1,000 m) above the summit and drifted west-northwest.

Pavlof (Alaska Peninsula, USA): (7 Aug) The volcanic-seismic unrest at the volcano continues.
A small amount of ash was observed by the Alaska Volcano Observatory's surveillance cameras on 5 August. The ash plume reached 10,000 ft (3,000 m) altitude and drifted east-southeast.

Semisopochnoi (United States, Aleutian Islands): (7 Aug) The volcanic-seismic unrest at the volcano continues that indicates occasional explosions.
The Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Anchorage recorded a small explosion on 5 August that generated an ash plume to an altitude of 10,000 ft (3,000 m) and drifted E.

Great Sitkin (United States, Aleutian Islands): (7 Aug) Another interesting picture was published by the Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO) at about 22:30 local time yesterday as incandescence of the active lava dome's blocks continues to be observed in the summit crater.
Large amounts of steam emissions are associated with this process.
