Karymsky (Kamchatka): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Tokyo warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 10000 ft (3000 m) altitude or flight level 100 and is moving at 10 kts in SW direction.

Lewotolo (Lesser Sunda Islands): (10 Aug) Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 9000 ft (2700 m) altitude or flight level 090 .

Merapi (Central Java, Indonesia): A moderately large pyroclastic flow descended from the volcano's active lava dome on its SW flank this morning at 6.43 am local time. The event lasted 161 seconds and the flow reached a length of 2500 m, our local correspondent Andi Rosadi reported on facebook.
Overall, the intensity of the eruption continues to gradually increase, and is clearly becoming more dangerous. Merapi has been at the second highest alert level III ("Siaga") on the Indonesian scale ranging from 1-4 since 5 November 2020.

Semisopochnoi (United States, Aleutian Islands): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Anchorage warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 10000 ft (3000 m) altitude or flight level 100 and is moving at 10 kts in E direction.
