San Cristobal volcano had 3 small explosions yesterday afternoon (at 3:33, 3:35 and 3:36 p.m.). Small steam and ash clouds rose 300 m above the crater.
Seismicity remains elevated at San Miguel volcano in El Salvador. Lots of tremor pulses and small quakes appear on the seismograms.
Popocatépetl volcano, Mexico: A strong SO2 plume could be seen on NOAA's satellite image yesterday. The activity remains stable and at low levels. CENAPRED reports steaming and about 10 small explosions per day.
Nevado del Ruiz volcano is steaming and has occasional weak explosions with ash venting (such as one on 6 Sep at 09:02 local time). There is relatively low-energy seismic activity.
At the moment, seismicity Cerro Machin is calm again. INGEOMINAS reports about the recent 2 earthquake swarms on 9 Sep between 7:30 and 8:30 (local time) and the following day 10 Sep between 07:20 and 14:00: the quakes during these swarms were felt by inhabitants of villages near the volcano. The epicenters of the quakes were clustered at 2-4 km depth W and S of the summit dome, and the largest was the M3.6 event on 9 Sep.
Sotará volcano continues to show seismic unrest as well and remains only at yellow alert.
Tungurahua volcano remains relatively quiet, but direct observations are difficult to cloud cover. The seismic signal is low with some weak tremor pulses.
Seismic swarms continue to appear at Little Sitkin volcano.
Stromboli volcano's seismic signal suggests that activity is low these days. Weak explosion signals are visible every 5 minutes or so.
Batu Tara had new explosions today to send ash to 7,000 ft altitude.
A nice webcam video of a beautiful explosion of Sakurajima volcano last night has been posted.
Seismic activity at White Island remains slightly elevated. A weak tremor signal can occasionally be seen on the spectrogram.
