Etna (Sicily, Italy): A new eruptive fissure opened at 06:05 local time this morning at altitude of 2800 meters at the E-NE upper part of the Valle del Bove.
The flank vent started to effuse a new lava flow.

Bezymianny (Central Kamchatka Depression): A mesmerizing video footage of the major explosion yesterday has been recorded by Yuri Demyanchuk from local volcano observatory.

A spectacular explosion at the volcano was being observed at about 08:10 local time (20:10 UTC) today.
The Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Tokyo detected an increasingly larger grey ash-rich plume that rose estimated 15,2 km altitude and drifted about 650 km to the E-SE direction. Given the height of the plume (12,3 km), the eruption may be considered sub-plinian which columns climb to around 10-20 km range.

The explosive eruption of the volcano continues.
According to the JMA local observatory, vulcanian-type explosion sent an ash column to 2,5 km height towards the southeast. Blocks were ejected 500 meters distance from the Ontake summit crater.
