Suwanose-jima (Ryukyu Islands): Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Tokyo (VAAC) issued the following report: EXPLODED AT 20230203/1709Z OVER FL040 EXTD SE OBS VA DTG:03/1700Z
Kilauea (Hawai'i): (3 Feb) The effusive eruption within the Halemaʻumaʻu crater continues with little changes as it's being seen waned over the past two days.
The eastern lava lake started to crust itself during the morning of 1 February and formed a narrow bridge-like crust section through the center of the lake (so-called isthmus) separating it into the northern and southern parts. This phenomenon is well visible in the latest Sentinel-2 satellite image from 1 Feb portraying two smaller glowing yellow patches of lava.

Villarrica (Central Chile): (3 Feb) After roughly five days with "only" ash-venting period, a vigorous lava-fountaining episode (so-called paroxysm) returned back to the summit crater yesterday morning.
Hot, fresh and incandescent clasts were seen ejecting from the vent onto the upper western slopes of the edifice accompanied by vividly illuminating steam emissions.
