Sakurajima (Kyushu, Japan): Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Tokyo (VAAC) issued the following report: VA IS NOT IDENTIFIABLE IN SATELLITE IMAGERY.

The explosive eruption at the volcano continues.
A heavy black billowing ash column followed a minor explosion from the Aira caldera at 06:36 local time yesterday. Ejected incandescent material could be seen in the attached video, which resulted in a small glowing rockfall avalanche.

Suwanose-jima (Ryukyu Islands): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Tokyo warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 6000 ft (1800 m) altitude or flight level 060 and is moving at 10 kts in S direction.

Karangetang (Siau Island, Sangihe Islands, Indonesia): (15 Feb) The extrusive/effusive eruption at the volcano continues.
Available source images, from either the Sentinel-2 satellite or the MAGMA Indonesia observatory, suggest sustaining arriving of fresh magma into the lava dome in the inner summit crater from where overflows the rim and oozes out to several directions in the form of incandescent rockfall avalanches.

Sabancaya (Peru): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Buenos Aires warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 25000 ft (7600 m) altitude or flight level 250 and is moving at 10 kts in SW direction.

The Instituto Geofisico de Peru reports that in the last week, Sabancaya has produced 54 volcanic explosions, generating columns of ash and gas up to 1.8 km above the volcano summit. Ash was dispersed to the east, west, southeast, southwest and northwest. The lahar (volcanic mud flow) hazard remains due to the possibility of rain in the coming week.

Sabancaya remains in orange alert and the recommendations for the public are the same as last week. Sabancaya update 6/02
