Shiveluch (Kamchatka): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Tokyo warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 14000 ft (4300 m) altitude or flight level 140 and is moving at 15 kts in SW direction.
The full report is as follows: POSS ERUPTION OBS AT 20230311/1610Z FL140 EXTD SW OBS VA DTG:11/1650Z to 14000 ft (4300 m)
Sakurajima (Kyushu, Japan): Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Tokyo (VAAC) issued the following report: EXPLODED AT 20230311/1328Z OVER FL070 STNR OBS VA DTG:11/1320Z
Suwanose-jima (Ryukyu Islands): (11 Mar) Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Tokyo (VAAC) issued the following report: EXPLODED AT 20230311/0426Z OVER FL040 EXTD NW OBS VA DTG:11/0420Z
Merapi (Central Java, Indonesia): The activity at the volcano increased dramatically today by the racing massive block-and-ash flow after noon.
Unfortunately, the intense situation is worsening and continues with a series of further pyroclastic flows from the active lava dome at the summit crater. This may and/or will make people in some villages nervous to get threatened by such turbulent hot avalanches of lava rock fragments of all sizes embedded in a mixture of gas and ash.
In the late evening today, at about 23:01 local time, another massive pyroclastic density current emanated from the glowing dome to travel over the Bebeng gully on the southwestern flank reaching length of at least 1800 meters. Typical phoenix clouds formed as were being lifted during the flow descended the slope.
...11 Mar:
A massive eruption occurred at the volcano shortly after noon today. At around 12.15 p.m. local time, a very large glowing avalanche, known as pyroclastic flow, descended from the active lava dome at the summit crater.
The extremely dangerous, fast-moving turbulent flow consists of a mixture of hot rock fragments of the lava dome, volcanic gasses and ambient air. It traveled through the Bebeng/Krasak ravine on the southeastern flank and reached a distance of estimated 7 km distance from the summit, meaning close to populated areas. It also produced massive ash plumes that affected much of the southern flank and caused panic in some villages.

Popocatépetl (Central Mexico): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Washington warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 22000 ft (6700 m) altitude or flight level 220 and is moving at 10 kts in E direction.
The full report is as follows: OCNL VA EMS to 22000 ft (6700 m)
Santiaguito (Guatemala): (11 Mar) The extrusive activity of the volcano continues at high levels.
A visible glow and near-constant emissions of gas and water vapor (so-called degassing) hint continued rise of fresh viscous magma accumulating into the Caliente lava dome. Pilled lava material makes the dome partially prone to collapse which in turn develop into rolling hot avalanches and incandescent dome blocks in W-SW direction along a steep ravine.

Nevado del Ruiz (Colombia): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Washington warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 20000 ft (6100 m) altitude or flight level 200 .
The full report is as follows: POSS VA EMS to 20000 ft (6100 m)
Sangay (Ecuador): Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Washington (VAAC) issued the following report: NO VA OBSD
Sabancaya (Peru): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Buenos Aires warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 24000 ft (7300 m) altitude or flight level 240 .
