Stromboli (Eolian Islands, Italy): (4 Aug) The level of activity remains very high at the volcano. Strong and frequent strombolian-type eruptions occur from several vents, most notably from the northeastern and south-central vents.
Strong thermal signals from the vent areas indicate that the magma column remains standing very high. Also, small lava overflows continue to occur, mostly from the collapsed area at the southwestern rims of the crater terrace. They are active on the upper southern part of the Sciara del Fuoco.

Karymsky (Kamchatka): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Tokyo warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 17000 ft (5200 m) altitude or flight level 170 and is moving at 30 kts in SE direction.
The full report is as follows: POSS ERUPTION OBS AT 20190804/1110Z FL170 EXTD SE OBS VA DTG:04/1120Z to 17000 ft (5200 m)

Ulawun (New Britain, Papua New Guinea): No new significant ash emissions have been observed from the volcano today, but satellite images show strong heat and intense steaming from the summit crater.
As well, fresh deposits of pyroclastic flows from yesterday's eruption can be recognized on satellite imagery.
