Stromboli (Eolian Islands, Italy): (2 Oct) The activity at the volcano continues to be elevated overall, but has been decreasing slowly during the past weeks.
No more significant lava overflows have occurred recently. The frequency of strombolian-type eruptions remains quite high with typically more than 15 per hour (one every 3-4 minutes), and sizes vary from small to moderate.

Etna (Sicily, Italy): The vigorous activity at the summit craters of the volcano continuous. An increase in ash emissions from the Central (Voragine), Northeast and (to lesser extent) Bocca Nuova craters triggered a temporary raise of the aviation alert level to RED yesterday.
Today, emissions have decreased again and the alert level was lowered to ORANGE.

Shiveluch (Kamchatka): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Anchorage warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 31000 ft (9400 m) altitude or flight level 310 and is moving at 40 kts in E direction.

A moderately large explosive eruption occurred on Shiveluch volcano earlier this morning, producing an ash plume that rose to 30,000 ft (10 km) altitude and a pyroclastic flow that traveled several km to the west from the active dome.
The eruption was likely a combination of explosion at the lava dome and a partial collapse of fresh material from the active part of the dome in its upper NE sector:
