Shishaldin (Aleutian Islands, Alaska): Shishaldin Volcano continues to erupt episodically. USGS AVO report that seismic levels were variable throughout the week, with elevated activity early in the week and over the past 36 hours. This was accompanied by strongly elevated surface temperatures suggesting renewed lava effusion. Persistent clouds have obscured observations of eruptive activity in the web cameras.

Cleveland (Aleutian Islands, Alaska): AVO report that elevated surface temperatures and steam emissions were intermittently observed in frequently cloudy satellite and web camera images over the past week. Seismicity remains low and no significant activity was observed in local or regional infrasound data during the week.

AVO note that additional episodes of lava effusion and explosions are likely and will occur without advance warning with the most recent explosion of Cleveland occurred on January 9, 2019. These explosions are normally short duration and only present a hazard to aviation in the immediate vicinity of the volcano. Larger explosions that present a more widespread hazard to aviation are possible, but less likely and/or frequent.

Colima (Western Mexico): Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Washington (VAAC) issued the following report: POSS VA EM

Popocatépetl (Central Mexico): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Washington warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 21000 ft (6400 m) altitude or flight level 210 .
