Ebeko (Paramushir Island): (9 Jan) Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Tokyo (VAAC) issued the following report: ERUPTION AT 20200109/0123Z FL100 EXTD SE REPORTED OBS VA DTG:09/0120Z

Aso (central Kyushu, Japan): Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Tokyo (VAAC) issued the following report: POSS ACTIVITY CONT. VA CLD UNKNOWN AT 20200109/1200Z

Sakurajima (Kyushu, Japan): (9 Jan) Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Tokyo warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 8000 ft (2400 m) altitude or flight level 080 and is moving at 15 kts in SE direction.

Suwanose-jima (Ryukyu Islands): The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) recorded on 28 December minor eruption at volcano’s Ontake Crater. Explosions were recorded on 31 December and 3 January. An ash plume rose 2,624 ft (800 m) above the crater.
Incandescence continues to be observed at night during 28 Dec-3 Jan.

Krakatau (Sunda Strait, Indonesia): (9 Jan) On 31 December PVMBG recorded that gray ash plumes rose 2,200 m above the summit and on 5 January an ash plume reached 4,307 ft (1,313 m) altitude.
The Alert Level remained at 2 (on a scale of 1-4), and the public was warned to remain outside of the 2-km-radius hazard zone from the crater.

Dukono (Halmahera): Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Darwin (VAAC) issued the following report: CONTINUOUS VA TO FL060, LAST OBS EXT NW AT 09/0040Z

White Island (New Zealand): GeoNet recorded strong and hot emissions of gases and steam plumes that occured and continue since 9 December, causing a glow that is seen on infrared cameras. Occasional minor ash emissions can be emitted from the active vent due to erosion.
Seismicity remains at low level with periods of low amplitude tremor.

Reventador (Ecuador): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Washington warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 16000 ft (4900 m) altitude or flight level 160 .

Sabancaya (Peru): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Buenos Aires warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 28000 ft (8500 m) altitude or flight level 280 and is moving at 25 kts in SE direction.
