INSIVUMEH reported that on 30 October three small collapses occurred at Santa María's crater edge. Moderate-to-weak explosions occurred and dozens of 2- to 3-minute long avalanches deposited material on the volcano's S flank. According to the Washingon VAAC, on 31 October low-level ash plumes from Santa María were visible on satellite imagery.
A decrease in volcanic activity at Lewotobi during 13-19 October led DVGHM to decrease the Alert Level from 2 to 1 (on a scale of 1-4). Only gas was emitted to low levels and no volcanic earthquakes were recorded.
Seismicity was above background levels at Kliuchevskoi during 24-31 October, with one to five earthquakes (M 1.6-2.3) occurring per day at depths around 30 km. Several large shallow earthquakes (M 1.7-2.6), and weaker earthquakes occurred. Gas plumes rose to ~700 m above the volcano.
During 29 October to 3 November, areas of surface lava were visible upslope of Kilauea's coastal flat. Seismicity at Kilauea's summit continued at moderate levels, with one to two small low-frequency earthquakes per minute occurring at shallow depths beneath the summit caldera. There were some larger earthquakes at depths of a few kilometers.
Seismicity was above background levels at Karymsky during 24-31 October, although the number of shallow earthquakes decreased from 250 to 70 per day. Seismic data indicated that possible ash-and-gas explosions rose 1-2.5 km above the crater. Satellite imagery showed a possible plume extending ~65 km NNE.

Volcanic activity decreased at Gamalama during 6-12 October, leading DVGHM to reduce the Alert Level from 2 to 1 (on a scale of 1-4) on 13 October. During the report period, gas emissions rose to ~50 m above the summit and the number of daily earthquakes decreased to normal levels.

During 21-27 October, moderate-sized eruptions continued at Tungurahua. Ash plumes generally rose to ~2 km above the volcano. An emission on 26 October deposited ash in the town of Baños N of the volcano.

Volcanic activity at Soufrière Hills remained at low levels during 17-24 October. The lava dome was visible on 23 October when a volume survey was carried out. The small lava dome that extruded in July had not grown further, appearing to be stagnant with alteration and degradation causing it to break apart.

INSIVUMEH reported that as of 24 October at Santa María's Santiaguito lava dome several moderate explosions occurred and block-and-ash avalanches traveled down the volcano's S flank. The ash from the avalanches mainly drifted SW. According to the Washington VAAC, on 26 October a pilot saw a small eruption at Santa María and satellite imagery showed a narrow plume extending ~20 km W.

During October, moderate emissions of mainly gas and steam occurred at Popocatépetl. Aerial photographs taken on 17 October showed that the inner crater had subsided and that no external lava dome was visible at the bottom of the crater.

Seismicity was above background levels at Kliuchevskoi during 17-24 October, with one to five M 1.7-2.1 earthquakes occurring per day at depths around 30 km. Four larger (M 2.1-2.5) earthquakes occurred, as well as a large number of weak shallow ones. Gas-and steam plumes were emitted during the week.

During 22-28 October, areas of surface lava were visible upslope of Kilauea's coastal flat. Seismicity at Kilauea's summit continued at moderate levels, with one to two small low-frequency earthquakes per minute occurring at shallow depths beneath the summit caldera. There were some larger earthquakes at depths of a few kilometers.
