The best place to stay on Tanna is the White Grass Ocean Resort
, who also organize one-day trips to Yasur volcano.
If you prefer to stay near the volcano itself, there are many cozy bungalows and home stays in the area.
We personally prefer Kelson's Jungle Oasis which is probably closest to the volcano and has a direct view of the volcano (if you are lucky to get the spectacular tree house), but there are many other good choices as well:

An increase in explosive activity has been noted since 2 April. Bombs have been ejected to the parking area below the summit cone, and the activity status (on a scale of 1-4) was raised from 1 to 2. If activity remains elevated, it will probably be further raised to 3 in the near future.

Strombolian activity has been comparably low recently and the volcanic activity level has been set to 1.

Climbing Stromboli volcano
: Stromboli provides one of the most remarkable opportunities to watch volcanic eruptions from close: a natural ridge located 150 m above the active vents. A classic and all-time favorite tour by anyone interested in seeing active volcanoes!
Gorely volcano photos
: Gorely is a young and very active shield volcano in southern Kamchatka. It is one of Kamchatka's easiest volcanoes to climb and offers stunning views into vast craters and the surrounding landscape.
Raung volcano photos
: One of the largest and most active volcanoes in East Java, rarely-visited and relatively unknown Raung became (in)famous during its recent eruption in 2015 when its frequent ash plumes forced the repeated closure of Bali's airport.
