Zhupanovsky volcano (Kamchatka): continuing ash emissions, activity summary 22-27 Jan 2015

Moderate intermittent explosive activity continues at the volcano. Satellite images detected ash plumes drifting 160 km SW and SE at altitudes of 5-6 km (16,400-19,700 ft) a.s.l. during 22 and 25-26 January, and a thermal anomaly over the volcano during 23 and 25-27 January.
