surveillance cameras observed a white steam plume which reached approx. 3,645 ft (1,111 m)

Over the past 24 hours, DOST-PHIVOLCS observed “moderate to voluminous emission of dirty-white to white steam-laden plumes rising 800 meters high before drifting southwest.” On February 1st 2020, sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions was measured at an average of 97 tonnes/day. ...more

Depth vs time of earthquakes beneath Taal volcano during the past days
The surface activity from the main crater of the volcano continued to slowly decrease, characterized by steady steam emission and infrequent weak explosions that generated ash plumes rising 500 to 1000 meters and dispersing light ash to the southwest. ...more
