Brava island on 2 Aug 2016 seen from space next to (larger) Fogo island
Out of fear of a possible new eruption, authorities evacuated 300 people from Cova Da Joana town on Brava island. According to news reports, the National Institute of Meteorology and Geophysics recorded increased seismic activity including volcanic tremor that sparked fears an eruption could be imminent. lire toutes
