Patuha volcano is an old, forest-covered twin volcano with two craters 600 m apart located SW of Bandung city, the capital of West Java. One of its craters is being mined for sulphur.

Background
The volcano is andesitic in composition. Its two craters are aligned NW-SE. The NW-most crater is the highest and dry, while Kawah Putih, the second crater has a shallow greenish-white crater lake and is mined for sulfur.Lahar and large debris-avalanche deposits are present up to 20 km NE of the volcano. The volcano was formed during the late Pleistocene, but no historical eruptions are known from Patuha.
