Background
Kamitakara (or Takara) volcano was the source of deposits forming the Kamitakara pyroclastic flow plateau. The dacitic-to-rhyolitic deposits were erupted about 0.75 or 0.70 million years ago (Nakano et al., 2001-). Ono et al. (1981) listed a Potassium-Argon date of about 600,000 years.---
