Significant Earthquakes in Thailand since 1900


The deadliest earthquake in Thailand since 1900 was the magnitude 6.1 earthquake in  Thailand, Changwat Chiang Rai on May, 5, 2014. It resulted in 1 fatalities and 32 injured people. This was the most disastrous quake in Thailand ever recorded. This was also the most damaging earthquake that occurred in this time: total economic losses were estimated to the equivalent of $62 million US Dollars. 20 houses and other buildings were destroyed and between 100-1,000 damaged.
